Mark moved to approve the July 22 minutes; Carol seconded.
Approved 5-0.
None
Three Rivers Bank — 233 E Idaho — modified freestanding sign with an electronic
readerboard. Carol moved to approve; John seconded. Approved 6-0.
Flathead Industries — 40 E Idaho — still overwhelming. Sign will be below the roof line.
They had talked about background color — vinyl comes in white. Could sign be longer and
thinner? Hanging off the fascia isn't great. Keep lower part against the wall. Sign may
not be so overwhelming if viewed in the context of the whole building. Could change
"donation center" to a wainscot type of green band. Add green trim by door?
Landscaping near sign — no space. Wider border on sign would help. Could move
logo/tree over door instead of sign — background white w/ tree, or could do green w/
white. Do same on Main St. Carol moved to approve the plans as modified by Corey
(wider green border, green "wainscot," smaller letters, green arches over doors with white
logo). Mark seconded. Approved 6-0.
Other Discussion:
Entrance Corridor standards — Main discussion related to signs, particularly monument
signs vs pole signs. OK with using height, etc per sign code.
