Performance Bond Reminders:
West Wood Park is coming up in two weeks. Public Works is still working with
Lone Pine Estates to extend their bond.
OLD BUSINESS:
Hilton Homewood Suites — Hutton Ranch; new hotel — Everyone is okay with this and it is
passed through Site Review.
DNRC/DEQ — Spring Prairie; new office building — Public Works is still reviewing the storm
water plans and have not received anything on the water rights issues. This issue is part ofthe
plat. They did send a letter explaining some of their phasing. This is going to bid today.
Sprint Creek Apartments — 10 Appleway Drive; new apartments — They got their 310
permit on Monday. Should be close on their flood plain development permit, too. They will
start filling as soon as that permit is issued. The site layout shows the units along Appleway
Drive have parking behind the unit with the door off of the sidewalk along Appleway — the
should have sidewalk connections to the parking lot. Drainage hasn't been submitted yet.
Parks will look at the proposed landscaping. We will ask for them to grant an easement for
the culvert. We will be requiring the bike path, possibly connecting to the park area in the
northwest area. Public Works will take a closer look at this. Bus stop possibly in the front
along Appleway. They could stop in the front without a turn in. Jim asked they leave a place
for a bus stop but not have any cutouts. On the east side of the east entrance, the curb should
be radiused back to the curbed island.
NEW BUSINESS:
Flathead County/Earl Bennett Building — 1035 — I't Avenue West; addition to building
(not an official business item /agency exemption) — they are looking at putting on an
additional floor. They are claiming agency exemption. They will likely not be developing
parking lots at this time. They may do landscaping and grass over.
PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS:
Valley Ranch — Only getting approval on this preliminary layout. A southwest access and
water rights will be part of the conditions, as well as needing to work with Eagle Transit.
They may not get approval from DEQ regarding the sanitary sewer system.
OTHER REPORTS:
Whitefish Stage across from the Village Plaza — Expanding an office that was previously a
day care. They plan to double the floor area. There is a circular driveway that is gravel.
They could have a right in only with a number of angle parking spaces. Discussion was held
about Whitefish Stage Road. This is a primary road. If they do a subdivision, we will need
additional right-of-way. The transportation master plan show this as a three -lane arterial. We
will encourage them to give this additional right-of-way now.
Eastside Brick — Their permit will be issued soon. Public Works has not received anything
that will allow them to approve the bridge. The bridge supports will allow the weight of
vehicles.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:45 a.m.
