Janet moved to approve the November 13 minutes; John seconded.
Approved 5-0.
Auto Mutt Dog and Car Wash — 1011 Hwy 2 W; modification to existing freestanding
sign and wall signs. No issues with wall signs, but freestanding sign was tabled. Prior
comments: the freestanding sign had too many colors and should be less busy. New
versions of the sign were presented; Blend's preference is version #3, which he brought
with him to the meeting. Discussion regarding pros and cons of new design. Bill moved
to approve version #3. John seconded. Approved 5-0.
Spring Prairie/Kohl's — Hwy 93 N; overall layout looks good. Tabled last week for
clarification on colors. Presented updated elevations and materials. Discussed rear
elevations and landscaping. Advise applicant to break up the rear area a bit/more relief, eg
repeat entry feature around sign. Looking for some vertical relief. John moved to table;
Carol seconded. Motion to table passed 5-0.
New Business:
Neal Dental Office — 135 Commons Way. Regulations do not allow the freestanding
sign. They will have 5 suites. There will be a few site changes due to parking and fire
access requirements. Brick veneer/stone/aluminum clad wood windows/3D wood
shingles. Discussed pole heights. Carol moved to approve; Janet seconded. Bill
abstained (existing tenant). Approved 4-0.
Tinseth — 750 N Meridian; addition and new storage building. Existing green metal is
coming off, replacing with new green metal roof. Sandstone color/white garage doors.
Need to protect posts —stone base up about 2-3 feet. John moved to approve conditioned
on the posts having real stone bases up to a height of 3 ft; Bill seconded. Approved 5-0.
Other Discussion:
Glacier Peaks — discussion regarding new signage at the old Days Inn
