Re: Confirmation of Officer Max Battle
Dear Mr. Russell,
jtr6ing to
Exceed
&pectations '
Officer Max Battle has successfully completed the Kalispell Police Department's one year
probationary period effective May 23, 2017. Montana law (7-23-4113) states that at the end of
the probationary period and within 30 days thereafter, the appointment of the officer must be
submitted to the city council for consideration.
Officer Battle graduated from Clearwater Central Catholic High School and went on to earn a
Bachelors in Business Technology from MSU Northern. Immediately prior to coming to work
as a Kalispell Police Officer Officer Battle worked for the Billings Police Department for six
years. Officer Battle flourished with the Billings Police Department, receiving special
recognition multiple times and being assigned as a Field Training Officer early in his tenure.
However, he endeavored to come back to the Flathead Valley.
I am proud to report that Officer Battle's experiences have been an asset to our staff. He has
demonstrated maturity, positive decision making and leadership in his year with the Kalispell
Police Department. Officer Battle is a tremendous addition to our community and to our
Department.
It is my recommendation that Officer Max Battle be confirmed as a police officer with the
Kalispell Police Department.
Sincerely, le'r
