A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF THE KALISPELL AREA
TRANSPORTATION PLAN 2006 UPDATE TO SERVE AS A GUIDING POLICY FOR
TRANSPORTATION PURPOSES, SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PROVIDE NOTICE THEREFORE.
WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell is considering adoption of the Kalispell Area Transportation
Plan 2006 Update to serve as a guiding policy for transportation decisions with
the purpose of the plan to serve to update and replace the existing Kalispell
Transportation Plan last updated in 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Kalispell City Planning Board considered the Kalispell Area Transportation
Plan 2006 Update at a public hearing on January 8, 2008, and voted unanimously
to present the draft document to the Kalispell City Council; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing should be held for council to take further oral and written evidence
from the public regarding the Kalispell Area Transportation Plan 2006 Update
prior to final consideration and determination by the Kalispell City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That there is hereby set a Public Hearing on the 19th day of February, 2008,
at 7:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Kalispell, Montana,
to take further oral and written evidence from the public regarding the
Kalispell Area Transportation Plan 2006 Update.
SECTION II. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to make, publish and
distribute notices of said Public Hearing in conformity with state law. The
City Clerk shall further make the Kalispell Area Transportation Plan 2006
Update available to the public by posting the same on the City of Kalispell
web site and by providing a paper copy to the public upon request and
payment of copy fees.
