Minutes: Minutes of April 11, 2006, meeting approved
New Business:
First Interstate Bank (2 Main St) is closing the southeast entry to their building with a
glass window enclosure. The glass will be opaque. David Mitchell of CTA presented the
project, and Corey recused himself. They will likely use some landscaping to separate the
sidewalk from the old entry. Ken moved to approve, Bill seconded. Approved 4-0.
Southcenter Square (1645 Hwy 93 S) will add a new entryway on the northeast corner
of the middle building on the lot (next to the current McKenzie River and in the old Jesse
Wall office). The entryway will match the colors/materials of the entry at McKenzie
River. Mark moved to approve, Corey seconded. Approved 5-0.
Old Business:
A Mother's Blessing (188 5th Avenue WN) is proposing a freestanding sign. Corey
suggested some changes in the color scheme for readability and incorporating colors of the
building into the sign to tie it all together. They may need to move the sign to meet traffic
vision provisions in the sign code. They will weigh some of the options and bring back a
modified proposal.
Public Works (1400 I't Ave W) has developed a landscaping buffer in conjunction with
the Parks Dept, but the project is on hold pending resolution of fire code issues.
Other Discussion: Other discussion included a review of Michael Blend's development on 2" d
Ave West and discouraging closing entrances/windows on Main St.
