Approval of Minutes: Minutes of July 25 meeting accepted as presented
Old Business:
Office Solutions (700 Sunset Blvd) is proposing and exterior remodel and a loading dock
addition. There are a number of zoning code issues to be addressed. Architects
Northwest presented the project. They will add a sidewalk on the west side. There are no
windows due to the highway. Landscaping to be added along the north side of the
building. Ken abstained. Corey moved to approve, Mark seconded. Approved 5-0.
New Business:
Conoco (196 3rd Ave E); replace existing freestanding sign. Mark moved to approve.
John seconded. (Corey did not vote). Approved 5-0.
Hutton Ranch submitted an application for their primary large signs. The signs match the
design presented to the council for the PUD. John moved to approve, Ken seconded.
(Corey did not vote). Approved 5-0.
Fun Beverage was tabled at the applicant's request due to changing designs.
Airport Hanger — Vince Padilla has submitted plans for a hanger at the city airport. Fred
Leistiko provided details of the airport master plan and the hanger specifications under the
lease agreement with the city. Blue or green trim options. The committee can approve
the design for this and future hangers, and staff can bring back any different design.
Suggestions for overall landscaping at both the main entrance and by the Hilton. Ken
moved to approve the design for the hangers, including future submittals, with the strong
suggestion that there be additional landscaping. John seconded. Approved 6-0.
Sportsman & Ski Haus is proposing a new store in Hutton Ranch. David Koel from
CTA presented the project. Features include a large moose sculpture and the inclusion of
the design/materials on the rear of the building. Corey recused himself. John moved to
approve. Ken seconded. Approved 5-0.
Huhot (Mongolian Grill) is proposing a new restaurant in Hutton Ranch, and was
presented by Architects Northwest. Ken recused himself. Mark moved to approve, Corey
seconded. Approved 5-0.
121 Financial Drive — new Public Health and Human Services building — Presented by
Mark Giacolletto. He will be changing the concave feature along the roofline to a straight
edge. The false dormers will likely not be included. The ledgestone may be brick. There
was some discussion about altering the landscaping in the parking lot to a different
orientation. John moved to provide a limited approval, with the condition that we revisit
the final details and the parking lot design. John moved to approve, Corey seconded.
Approved 6-0.
Western Building Center is expanding its store at 1745 3rd Ave E. John moved to
approve. Bill seconded. Approved 6-0.
Hilton Garden Inn is constructing a new hotel at 1840 Hwy 93 S. Based in part upon
prior review for the height, Corey moved to approve. Mark seconded. Approved 6-0.
