Minutes of August 8 meeting accepted as presented
Hilton Garden Inn is constructing a new hotel at 1840 Hwy 93 S. Stan Kaczmar
presented the project. Improvements to the pump house will be presented later. Height
limits for light poles were noted. Discussion regarding the exterior casino signs relative to
the PUD. Discussion on colors — 3 colors, band is the same as the other darker color.
The materials have a wood/stained appearance. The committee would prefer a consistent
color/material through the restaurant area. Suggested taking a band through to tie it
together. Mark moved as follows: (1) The pump house will be reviewed separately; (2)

than setting the restaurant and casino apart; (3) signs will be reviewed separately; and (4)
The developer consider banding/stone work. John seconded. Motion passed 4-0.
121 Financial Drive — new Public Health and Human Services building — no new info
Fun Beverage — freestanding sign — no new info
Mother's Blessing and Next Door (176 and 188 5th Ave WN) are presenting a joint
freestanding sign project. Mark moved to approve both signs, with the condition that the
Next Door sign use a tan background rather than white. Corey seconded. Approved 4-0.
New Business:
Kalispell Alignment (160 6th Ave WN) is proposing a new freestanding sign on an
existing pole. Corey moved to approve; John seconded. Approved 4-0.
