Building Department Conference Room
ATTENDING:
Frank Castles, Asst. City Engineer Jeff Clawson, Plans Examiner
Chad Fincher, Parks Superintendent Nicole Johnson, City Planner
F. Ray Ruffatto, Deputy Fire Marshal P. J. Sorensen, Zoning Administrator, Chair
Sandy Wheeler, Comm. Dev. Mgr. Kathy Kuhlin, Recording Secretary
Guests: James Freyholtz (M.D.O.T.)
Hear the Public: None.
Performance Bond Reminders: No change from last week. At Stillwater Bluffs with Moes
Run, boulevards are not in and street lights are not on. Lights are a homeowners issue. Mark is gone
until April 10. Spring Creek signs have been completed, and permits can now be issued.
OLD BUSINESS:
The Meadows — 4 Mile Drive development; new clubhouse building and condominium
buildings — Tom will look at their new packet. Public Works has checked off on the street
lighting. The valves will be checked by the Water Department tomorrow. Setbacks based on
garage distance from the sidewalk.
Milbrandt Apartments — 1711 — 5th Ave E; adding 2-unit building to existing apartment
complex — Nothing new yet.
Glacier Quilts — Hutton Ranch; new retail building — They brought in some new site plans
that show some more property lines. They have cross access easements for the parking.
James had a copy of the proposed "right in" only. They will need a stop sign for the
eastbound traffic on the "right in only" lane and a stop bar. The lane should be an appropriate
distance. They will need to be sure there is sidewalk connecting to the bike path. Sidewalk
could be adjacent to the curb on the north side and then not have a boulevard. Landscape
buffers?
Tamarack Center — On Corporate Drive — Fire has no issues with this.
NEW BUSINESS:
None.
PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS:
Ashley Square Proiect — Water and sewer connections — condition them to have an
easement to provide utility services prior to final plat. They will need to correct their plat and
put in the utility easement. Frank will take a look at some past maps of this. The water main
easement and the sewer main easement will need to be installed prior to issuing any permits.
Three Mile Subdivision — Narda stated last week that they would need to get an access
permit from M.D.O.T. on this. James stated that M.D.O.T. does not have jurisdiction over
this area until Mile Post 1 at Stillwater. It must be under the County's jurisdiction.
OTHER REPORTS:
None.
