Vision Clinic (100 Westview Park Place) has submitted for a common freestanding sign
serving the subdivision. The sign will need to have free air space between 42 inches and
72 inches above the adjacent street elevation. Carol moved to approve; John seconded.
Approved 5-0.
Town Pump (2910 Hwy 93 S) is proposing a new sign package. The wall signs look OK.
They may want to landscape around the base of the freestanding sign. Freestanding sign
has several code issues that they will work out with the City. It was noted that the sign
looks pretty "busy." John moved to table; Carol seconded. Motion to table passed 5-0.
Universal Athletics (N Meridian) submitted plans for a new retail store (with 2 tenant
spaces). Ron LaRue presented. Discussion regarding landscaping, lighting, and signage
(signs will be addressed separately). John moved to approve; Ken seconded. Approved
5-0.
Glacier High School is adding a new pumphouse/storage building near the athletic fields.
Chuck Cassidy presented. Corey recused himself. Everything looked great, except for
the color of the roof. John moved to approve the project with the recommendation that
they consider the color of the roof. Ken seconded. Approved 4-0.
Discovery Development Center (75 Glenwood) is adding a covered play area and a play
pavilion. Carol moved to approve; John seconded. Approved 5-0.
Other Discussion:
New Member: Janet Clark was appointed at the prior council meeting and was
introduced to the committee.
Breakfast and Room Arrangement: Red's has a breakfast special which is available
for us to order for the meetings. The current room arrangement (i.e. board at tables in
front with applicants seated facing them) works well.
Meeting Adjourned at 8:25
