1050 North Meridian is the location for a new dental office. It was tabled at the last
meeting, and comments were provided to the Applicants. They have added rock trim,
landscaping, and entryway changes. They also noted some changes to the site plan. The
committee commented that the landscaping at the property corner anchors the property
well. Bill moved to table; John seconded. Motion to approved 4-0.
New Business:
Hillstead's (471 E Idaho) has submitted a permit application for 2 freestanding signs and
1 wall sign. One will be internally lit, and the other freestanding sign will have a ground -
mounted, fully shielded light. Janet moved to approve; Bill seconded. Approved 4-0.
Montana Sky Networks (1286 Burns Way) is proposing a 60 ft tall internet
communications tower. The maximum height in the zone is 40 ft by right, but 60 feet with
a CUP. As part of the CUP process, the ARC provides a recommendation. They noted
that the existing tower will be removed and the new tower will be moved closer to the
center of the property. They will paint it green to blend better with the trees. John moved
to approve; Janet seconded. Approved 5-0. (Motion included recommendation of
approval for the CUP and approval for a building permit)
Bill's Superheat (817 W Center) is planning to remodel an existing Quonset hut. There
will be a small wall sign. Bill Burton presented the materials he intends to use. Bill
Goodman moved to approve; John seconded. Approved 4-0.
Mountain Mudd (2267 Hwy 93 S) submitted plans for a new drive-thru espresso. It is
essentially the same building which was approved for a different site. There are a number
of site review issues to be addressed which may impact the layout. Landscaping was a
particular concern. John moved to table; Bill seconded. Motion to table passed 4-0.
