REGULAR MEETING
Regular meeting of the Kalispell City Council was held on December 13, 1965
at 7:30 P. M.
Mayor Flynn presiding with all Councilmen present.
Invocation by Rev. Paxton.
Minutes of the Regular meeting of December 6, 1965 were read and approved as
read on motion by Riley. Seconded by Bjorneby and carried.
Committee Reports:
W. Roberts, Parking Meter Committee -.The Committee recommends the installation
of two express meters in front of the C & C Supply Building.(old Inter Lake Building)
Balance of request from C & C Supply to be held in Committee for further consider-
ation. W. Roberts moved the two express meters be installed as requested at 402-
lst Avenue West. Seconded by Turner and carried.
Turner, Sewer -Water Committee- Reported that a request for a hearing for
increased water rates had been -mailed to the Montana Public.Service Commission.
The Committee had met with a representative of Morrison-Maierle who proposed
an engineering study to incorporate existing facilities in the proposed automation
of the pumping plants.
Turner moved Morrison-Maierle Co. be authorized to prepare a contract for
Engineering Study and preparation of bid specifications for automation of the water
system. Seconded by Bjorneby and carried.
Roche, Parks and Recreation Committee- Reported that Pacific Power & Light Co.
requests permission to enlarge their radio antenna at the Golf Course.
Roche moved this request be granted and a lease.agreement be drawn. Seconded
by Homuth and carried.
City Officials Reports:
City Treasurer for October
City Sanitarian for November
City Engineer for November
Police Chief for November
Police Judge for November
W. Roberts moved acceptance of the City Officials reports. Seconded by Turner and
carried.
Mrs. Happ raised the question on the removal of cars and trailers that are
left parked on Streets and Avenues for long perionds of time and the problems they
create as far as snow removal is concerned. A brief discussion ensued. No action
was taken.
Riley reported that the open electrical switches at the Kalispell Hotel
basement would be covered.
Correspondence
A letter from Pacific Power and Light Company regarding the difference between
gas inspection fees and electrical inspection fees.
Mayor Flynn appointed the following Committee to study the inspection fees.
Charles Tillson - Chairman
H. V. Turner

Dr. John Roche'
New Business
An Electrician Bond for Conrad Peterson was approved on motion of Roche,
seconded by Turner and carried.
Re -Zoning Ordinance - An Ordinance amending Section 7 of Ordinance No. 672,
the Zoning Ordinance by adding certain property to No. 5 Business Residence District
and deleting said property from No. 2 Residence District was presented to the
Counsil by the Board of Adjustments.
Mayor Flynn appointed two more members to the City County Planning Board as
follows: L. G. "Bus" Lund
Carl Clogston
Roche moved approval of the appointments to the City County Planning Board.
Seconded by W. Roberts and carried.
W. Roberts moved for adjournment. Seconded by Bjorneby and carried.
