WHEREAS, the Kalispell Branch;of the American Association of University Women for over 70 years has
contributed community service to the City of Kalispell and the Flathead Valley; and
WHEREAS, Kalispell AAUW has been. asource of leadership development and community volunteerism for
its members, many of whom have made a positive and lasting impact on the City of Kalispell and the Flathead Valley;
and
WHEREAS, Kalispell AAUW is a branch of a national non-profit organization that promotes equity in the
workplace, in education, and in all aspects of the lives of women and girls; and
WHEREAS, AAUW has worked diligently localiy anli g(ol�al,y to promote lifelong education and positive
societal change and to recognize the past =and pteselpt contributi6ns of women and girls to this and other communities
in Montana and around the world; therefore be it ' ;•'

RESOLVED that the Kalispell City Council commend AAUW and all the women of this community for their
service and accomplishments.
