SUBJECT: 2nd Ave E Water Distribution Improvement Project — Postpone Bid Action
MEETING DATE: April 4, 2016
BACKGROUND: The 2nd Ave E Water Distribution Improvement Project includes
replacement of an existing 2" copper water main located in 2nd Ave E from 131h St E to 14th St E
and installation of new water main in 141h St E from 2nd Ave E to 3rd Ave E, together includes the
installation of approximately 723 linear feet of 8" PVC pipe. The purpose of the project is to
increase reliability and fire flows of water distribution in this area.
Bids for the project will be opened on Thursday, March 31, 2016. City staff requests additional time
to review the bids and references for a recommendation at the next council meeting.
ACTION REQUESTED: Postpone action for the 2nd Ave E Water Distribution Improvement
Project to the April 18, 2016, council meeting.
