SPE I ICIAL* .IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 316.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the city of Kalispell,
in compliance with the statutes of the State of Montana, did, on
the 5th day of November, 1973, create Special Improvement' District
No. 316 of the city of Kalispell for the purpose of the construction
of sewer mains and appurtenances thereto in all of that arQa
includqd in, and in accordance with the terms and conditions as
specified in Resolutions No. 2930 and No. 2918.
WHEREAS, Stahly Engineering and Associates, 1 So. Dakota Street,
Helena$ Montana 59601, has submitted plans of said construction, and
some have been approved by the City Engineer for the City of
Kalisp6ll.
NOW THEREFORE, be it hereby resolved:
1. That the City Clerk forthwith call for bids for said
construction in accord with the laws of the State of Montana.
2. That the Notice of said call for bids be in the substantial
form of and contain the provisions of Exhibit "A" attached hereto.

NOTICE OF CALL FOR BIDS
CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA
S.I.D. NO. 316
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that scaled proposals for the (,un-
stxuction of sewer mains and appurtenances thereto for tho City
oC ialispell, Montana, will be received by the City Council at
Kalispell, Montana until 7:30 P.M., June 3, 1974. All proposals
shall be addressed to the City Clerk and plainly marked "S.I.D. 316
Construction." At a meeting of said council at said timc nd place
sai:' 1-i-o will be publicly opened and read.
The work involved is for the construction of all work for S.I.D.
No. 316 created on November 5, 1973 by Resolution No. 2930 as �
specified in plans and specification as outlined and on file, at the
following address; Stahly Engineering and Associates, I So. Dakota
Street, Helena, Montana 59601, or City Engineer, P. O. Box 1035,
Kalispell, Montana 59901. Said resolution and Resolution No. 2918,
dated August 8, 1973, contain more particular description of.said
district and are on file in the City Clerk's office.
A deposit of $25.00 will be required for each set of plans
furnished; said sum deposited will be refunded to unsuccessful
bidders upon return of said plans in good order within ten (10)
days after bids are opened.
Each bidder must display his current Montana Contractor's
License, class and number.
Proposals on bids will be received on all of the parts of
said project in accord with said plans and specifications.
All proposals or bids offered shall be accompanied by
certified check payable to the City, certified by a responsible
bank for an amount which shall not be less than ten per ceritum
(10%) of the aggregate of the proposal. Said proposals or bids
shall be delivered to the Clerk of said City Council, and said
City Council shall, in open session, publicly open, examine, and
declare the same; provided, however, that no proposal or bids
shall be considered unless accompanied by said certified chdck.
The City Council may reject any and all proposals or bid- should
it deem this for the public good, and also the bid of any party
who has been delinquent or unfaithful in any former contract with
the municipality, and shall reject all proposals or bids other than
the lowest regular proposal or bid of any responsible bidder, and
may award the contract for said work or improvement to the lowest
responsible bidder at the prices named in his bid.
A bond will be required of the successful bidder in tne amount
of one -hundred per cent (100%) of the aggregate of they proposal for
the faithful performance of the contract and protection of the City
of Kalispell against the liability of accidents.
