Resolution 2831 - Intergovernmental Personnel Act of 1970RESOLUTION NO. 2831 RESOLUTION - INTERGOVERNMENTAL PERSONNEL ACT 1970 WHEREAS, Congress'of the United States has provided funding to improve public services rendered by all levels of gov- ernment WHEREAS, this opens major avenues for Intergovernmental Cooper- ation to improve personnel systems WHEREAS, the quality and effectiveness of personnel resources is of importance to local government WHEREAS, the State of Montana has a desire to explore possibil- ities of a uniform personnel program WHEREAS, local government is desirous of participating in devel- opment of a unfirom personnel program WHEREAS, financing of such a program should be done jointly be- tween the state and local government NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the City of Kalispell city or town Joins with other local governments throughout the state in supporting the concept that local government planning monies, namely the Intergovernmental personnel Act of 1970 funds not be apportioned in small amounts to units of local government, in a manner which would inhibit the development of a desirable, coordinated and comprehensive personnel program, and i BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city of Kalispell records city or town its support of the proposal of allowing said local government Intergovernmental Personnel Act planning funds to irected to the Montana League of Cities and Tow r representative organization, to be used sa d League to de elop a local governmental per nne program in ope ation with the State of Mo ana Oct. 1971 SIGNED: P• Mayor IR, i ^ r I, the undersigned, City Clerk of the City of K lispall, r�ereby cert t t the foregoing is a true and correct copy of the res lotion duly ci'by the City Council of the City of KalisPell, Montana# at a, egalar »e n vn Kalispell,
