A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO EXTEND THE CORPORATE Limus OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL, MONTANA
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANAt
SECTION 1. That It is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Kalispell, Montanag to extend the corporate limitsv and to amend Section 247
of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Kalispell, Montana, of 1947, pre-
scribing the limits of said City.
SECTION 2. That the proposed additional area to be Included within the
corporate limits of the City of Kalispell, Montana, Is more particularly
described as follows:
A
Beginning at the S. E. corner of Sec. 1, T. 28 N. R. 22 W. MPM., thence
Westerly along the South boundary of said Sec. 1, 943.175 ft., thence
northerly 30 ft. to the North boundary of 3 Mile Drive and to the S. W.
corner of Lot 22, Block 2 of Northwest Tracts according to recorded plat
thereof on record In the Flathead County Courthouse, thence Northerly along
the Westerly boundary of said Lot 22, 430 ft. and to the N. W. corner of
said Lot 22v thence Easterly 105.625. ft. to the N. E. corner of said Lot
22, thence Northerly along the East boundary of Lot 21 of said Northwest
Tracts Block 2, 100 ft. and to the N. E. corner of said Lot 21, thence
Westerly 422.7 ft. along North boundary of said Lot 21 and to the N. W.
corner of said Lot 21, thence Southerly 100 ft. along West boundary of said
Lot 21 to the S. W. corner of said Lot 21, thence Easterly along the South
boundary of said Lot 21, 205.625 ft., thence Southerly and parallel to West
boundary of said Lot 22, 430 ft. and to the North boundary of 3 Mile Drive,
thence Easterly along North boundary of 3 Mile Drive 111.25 ft. to the
place of beginning and forming a Tract of land containing 2.07 acres more
or less. Said Tract of land to be known as SCHOOL DISTRICT NUMBER 5 JUNIOR
HIGH SCHOOL SITE ANNEX NO. 1.
Section 3. That the extension of the boundaries of the City of Kalispell,
Montana, as described above, will be In the best interests of the City of
Kalispell, and the inhabitants thereof; and to the Inhabitants of the con-
tiguous tract above described, and to be Included within the limits of
said City, and further, that such addition will not materially mar the
symmetry and order of the City of Kalispell, and that such tract proposed
to be included within the corporate limits of said City Is contiguous to
said City.
SECTION 4. That the said tract of land above described, and to be Included
within the corporate limits of the City of Kalispell as aforesaid, Is duly
and regularly platted, as required by law, and Is to be classified as No. I
RESIDENCE ZONE.
SECTION 5. That on the 5th day of September, 1967, at 7:30 P.M., in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall In Kalispell, Montana, at a regular meeting
thereof, the City Council will hear and pass upon any protests that may be
made against the extension of these boundaries. The closing time for the
filing of written protests is hereby declared to be 5:00 P.M. August 24,
1967.
SECTION,6. That the City Clerk Is hereby authorized and directed to give
the proper notice of the passage of this resolution, by publication as re-
quired by law, such publication to be made In the Kalispell News, a weekly
newspaper, published in the City of Kalispell, Montana.
