Resolution 2492 - Resolution of Intent - AnnexationRESOLUTION NO. 2492 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO EXTEND THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA HE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA- SECTION 1. That It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Kalispell, Montana to extend the corporate limits, and to amend Sectik 247 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Kalispell, Montana of 1947, prescribing the limits of said City. SECTION 2. That the proposed additional area to be Included within the corporate limits of the City of Kalispell, Montana, Is more particularly described as followsi Beginning at a point which is 683.5 feet west of the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 18, Township 28 North, Range 21 West, Montana Meridian, and on the north boundary line thereof, which point of beginning is also located at the point where the east boundary line of Second Avenue West of Kalispell, Montana according t6ya map or plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the County. Clerk and Recordelof Flathead County, Montana, intersects the north boundary line of said southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 18, Township 28, Range 21 West; thence west and along the north boundary line of said SEA SEA, of Section 18, a distance of 372 feet to a point; thence, southerly and parrallel to the east boundary of Section 18, a distance of 105 feet to a point; thence, easterly and parallel to the north boundary line of the SEA SQ, of Section'18, a distance of 39.5 feet to a point; thence, southerly and parallel to the easterly boundary line of Section 18, a distance of 505 feet to a point; thence, easterly and parallel to the northerly boundary of the SE k Silk, of Section 18, a distance of 532.5 feet to a point; thence, northerly and parallel to the easterly boundary line of Section 18, a distance of 610.0 feet to the point of beginning, containing 7.55 acres more or less. SECTION 3. That the extension of the boundaries of the City of Kalispell, Montana, as described above, will be in the best interests of the City of Kalispell, and the Inhabitants thereof, and to the inhabitants of the contiguous tract above described, and to be included within the limits of said city, and further, that such addition will not materially mar the symmetry and order of the City of Kalispell, and that such tract proposed to be included within the corporate limits of said city is contiguous to said City. SECTION 4. That on the 3rd day of June, 1963 at 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall in Kalispell, Montana, at as regular meeting, thereof, the City Council will hear and pass upon any protests that may be made against the extension of these boundaries. The closing time for the filing of protests is hereby declared'to be 5:00 o'clock P. M. June 3, 1963. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to give the pioper notice of the passage of this resolution by Publication as required by law, such publication to be made in the Daily Inter Lake, a daily newspaper published in the City of Kalispell, Montana* PASSED ANP APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA this 6th day of May, 1963.
