Approval of Minutes: Bill moved to approve July 14 minutes; Julie seconded.
Approved 6-0.
Old Business:
Town Pump — 859 W Reserve; convert existing church to convenience store/casino.
Tabled at last meeting. Pulling off metal on sides and replace with new prefinished metal
panel on west. East side has issues — need to do a concrete stain. West side is mostly
screened by existing mature landscaping. Real log column and other features.
Emphasizing existing features. Julie moved to approve; Russ seconded. Approved 6-0.
Treeline Village — Treeline Road; new apartment complex (8 12-plex buildings). David
recused himself. Previously tabled. Went over changes since last meeting — evergreen
mix, downspouts, mesh vs. rail. Will be irrigated. Will need to develop tot park in the
center under PUD. Discussed tree size and accent panels. Raising the center up is good.
Woven mesh, maybe more substantial supports with the entrance canopies — more
substantial columns. With the mesh, tighter is probably better. Bill moved to approved
with a final review of the mesh. Janet seconded. Approved 5-0.
New Business:
Proven Graphics — 120 Westview Park Place; freestanding sign panel on existing off -
premise sign. David moved to approve; Julie seconded. Approved 6-0.
Whitefish Credit Union — 1845 Hwy 93 S; freestanding sign replacement. Bill moved
to approve; Janet seconded. Approved 6-0
KRMC — Hwy 93; refacing existing off -premise freestanding signs. Julie and Russ
recused. Bill moved to approve; Mark seconded. Approved 4-0.
Pathways — 200 Heritage Way; refacing existing freestanding sign. Julie and Russ
recused. Janet moved to approve; David seconded. Approved 4-0.
Montana First Insurance — 1088 N Meridian; freestanding sign. Some code issues with
size/height. They will redesign and bring back when ready.
Alumna Glass — 32 1" Ave W; exterior fagade and wall signs. Flat face. Discussed
color differences as shown — not best look with changing color under the middle of a
sign. Prefer continuous color. Julie moved to table pending an updated rendering. Russ
seconded. Motion to table passed 6-0.
Popeye's — 201 18d' St E; new restaurant. Colors were extensively discussed. Some
concern on the 3rd Avenue side of the building. Discussed elevating a segment of
parapet. Maybe bring up rock further on the side. Bill moved to table; Janet seconded.
Motion to table passed 6-0.
