Glacier Rally in Rockies ProclamationPROCLAMATION WHEREAS, Flathead CARE became a recognized corporation by the State of Montana in 1987 and a formal United Way Agency in 1994; and WHEREAS, Flathead CARE has developed numerous programs for both youth and adults including Red Ribbon Week, Kids Camp, and STAND (Students Taking Action Not Drugs); and WHEREAS, Flathead CARE relies on private donations, grants, and United Way funding to continue its commitment and action toward creating a healthy community and keeping Flathead County Youth drug, alcohol, and tobacco free; and WHEREAS, Flathead CARE has organized a classic car parade and car show in downtown Kalispell to help raise money to support its many youth programs. NOW THEREFORE, I, Mark Johnson, Mayor of the City of Kalispell, Montana, do hereby proclaim Saturday, July 18, 2015, as FLATHEAD CARE GLACIER RALLY IN THE ROCKIES WEEKEND in the City of Kalispell and I encourage all citizens to help support Flathead CARE by attending the Dairy Queen Car Show Friday night, July 17th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.; and on Saturday, July 18th, the Parade on Main Street at 10:00 a.m. and the Glacier Rally in the Rockies Car Show on First Avenue West from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. DATED this 6th day of July, 2015.
