GUESTS: James Freyholtz, Montana Department of Transportation.
HEAR THE PUBLIC: None.
PERFORMANCE BOND REMINDERS:
Ashley Heights Sound Wall Bond — Jentz stated that we will extend the bond expiration date from
June 1st to June 22nd. They will need to have an Acoustic Engineer sign off on the wall. Hubert
Turner or Tom Jentz will need to contact the property owners and have them sign off on what their
expectations were and that the wall is completed. Jentz is pushing for a 6' vinyl fence on the highway
side, nailed into the concrete wall. One of the discussion issues has been whether or not the 6' height
meets the acoustical requirements.
OLD BUSINESS:
Beehive Homes — 242 Stillwater; new assisted living/memory care unit. Parker noted that he has just
about completed review of their building plans. He is waiting on a couple of details regarding their
kitchen. Zoning and Parks have approved this project. We are waiting on Public Works' review of
this project. This will be on the agenda for next week.
Calaway Apartments — 1079 N Meridian; new apartment complex. No one has received any
contact from them. Jentz has sent out a letter requesting them to get a final approval on the Public
Works infrastructure design issues or final approval of their plans and Building Permit issues
addressed by a date specific or their CUP will be void and they'll have to start over. This will be on
the agenda for next week.
91/93/97 Financial Drive — new four-plex CUP. Parks and Zoning are working out the details for
their play equipment. Parks has some comments out to them. Parker stated that they will need to
redraw their drawings as there are no fire walls included on their plans. Public Works has not
received their plans yet. This will be on the agenda for next week.
Captain's Marine — Hwy 93 S; new retail building. Comments have been sent out from Building
and Public Works. They may be required to fire sprinkler their buildings because of the reduced fire
flows from the interior lines. They could improve the flows by bringing the water in on the west side
off the highway and loop it to the north side to allow for better fire flows. They need to get together
with Haskins and Hoes to figure this out. Parker noted that the sprinkler system would add dead load
to the ceilings and he needs to know where they are putting the riser rooms. This will be on the
agenda for next week.
Canvas Church — 255 Summit Ridge; expansion of existing church. Resubmittal plans were
received by Public Works on Tuesday, and they will be reviewing them. They still need to complete
their Geotechnical Soils Report. This will be on the agenda for next week.
NEW BUSINESS: None.
PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS:
KRMC Parking Lot Expansion and Zone Change — This will be going to the Planning Board
Meeting regarding the growth policy and zoning map amendments. This is going forward because of
their interest in a parking lot expansion. Nygren has received some neighborhood complaints
regarding the exit out to Grandview. If they come in for a parking lot, they would go to Public
Works for an Approach Permit into the public street. This could generate a lot of traffic that could
require a Traffic Impact Study.
OTHER REPORTS:
None.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:18 a.m.
