Resolution 2163 - Results of Revenue Bond ElectionRESOLUTION NO. 2163 RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULTS OF REVENUE BOND ELECTION BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Kalispell, Fontana as follows: 1. This Council does hereby find, determine, and declare that the special election held in and for said City on September 30, 1949 to vote upon the question of issuing $900,000 Water and Sewerage Revenue Bonds, was in all respects duly and legally called, hid and c nducted and returns thereof have been made and filed in accordance with law. 2. That all, but only, the duly registered electors of, said City whose names appear upon the last completed assessment roll for ,State and County taxes as taxpayers upon property *ithin the City were permitted to vote thereat, and that the results of said election were as Bellows: Number of Ballots Qualified Ballots Ballots Unmarked' Designation Voters Shown Voted for Voted against Spoiled, and of 'Precinct on Poll List Issuing Bands Issuing -.Bonds Defective 1 and 41 556 6 328 None 2 and 42 550 14 266 2 3 and 43 680 23 344 3 4 and 44 573 15 317 None Totals for 2359 the City 58 1255 0 3. The question of issuing said bonds and improving the City®s water and sewerage system with the proceeds thereof is hereby declared to have been deeisively defeated. That assessments shall be as provided for Oil Sprinkling D.strict Number 1. Section 6. That on Monday, the 7th day of iovember 1949, at the City Uouncil Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Kalispell, Montana, at 8 o'clock P.M., the Council of the City of Kalispell, Montana intends to extend the limits of Oil Sprinkling District Number I to include the said area, and will hear objections to the same, at which time and glace any person or persons who are owners or agents of owners of any lot or parcel of land within said area who shall within fifteen days after first publication of the notice of the passage of this Resolution, have delivered to the City Clerk of the City of Kalispell, a protest in writing against the proposed action shall have the right to appear at said meeting in person or counsel and show cause, if any there be, why said area should not be included in Oiling District Number I. Section 7. The following notice of the adoption of this Resolu- tion shall be published in the Kalispell News, Thursday, October6, 1949. Notice is Hereby Given, that on the Third day of Oi-tober, 1949 the City Council of the 6ity of Kalispell, Montana adggted a certain Resolution of intention to extend the boundaries of Oil 9prinkling District Number I to includethe area bounded as follows: On the North by the South property line of Second Street Vest On the South by the North property line of Eighth Street West. On the East by the West property line of Ninth Ailey: West. On the West by the West property line of Tenth "lley Nest. That said Resolution of intention is No. 2162 and is on :file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Kalispell, Montana, to Aich Resolution for a description of the boundaries of said district, reference is hereby made,. That the City Council of the City of Kalispell, Montana, will be in session on the Seventh Day of November, 1949, at eight o'd.cok P.M. when it intends to finally adopt said resolution at which time and place the City Council will hear objections ;o the"inclusive of said dreg in Oiling District Number I at which time and place any person or persons who are owners or agents of owners of any lot or parcel of land within said area, who shall, within fifteen days after the publication of this notice have delivered to the City Clerk of the City of Kalispell, a protest in writing against the proposed action shall have the right to appear at said meeting in person or by counsel and show cause, if any there be, why the action proposed should not be taken.
