FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
At approximately 12:42 A.M. on November 22, 2014 the Kalispell Fire Department was dispatched
for a garage fire located on Farview Drive in Kalispell. The incident was reported via 911.
Upon arrival smoke was issuing from the garage and eave areas of the residence and a working
structure fire was confirmed. Crews made an offensive attack on the fire for quick extinguishment.
No injuries have been reported with this event. An estimation of $10,000 damage is reported to the
garage and a vehicle which was parked inside the garage at the time of the incident. The cause of
the fire was due to improper disposal of burnt material and was deemed accidental.
Assistance was received be Kalispell Police Department, Kalispell Water Department, Evergreen
Fire Department and Northwestern Energy.
