Resolution 2104 - Resolution of Intent - SID 278RESOLUTION NO. 2104 RI,,SOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CREATE SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 278, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL MONTANA: SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Kalispell to create a special improvement district hereby designated as Special Improvement District No. 278, and said Improvement District shall be for the purpose of in- stalling a sanitary sewer between Tenth Avenue West aid Mer- idian Road, and between Railroad Street nd Third Street West more particularly described as follows: beginning at a point which is the intersection of the South property line of Lot 1 Block 14, Western Addition, on the center line of the llth. alley West and extending North on the center line of said alley a distance of approximately 1100 feet to the South property line of Lot 1. Block 17 Western Addition; also ex- tending Westerly at right angles on the center line of llth. alley West with its intersection of property line between Lots 3 and 4 Block 17 Western Addition, a distance of approx- imately 250 feet. jECTION 2. That the general character of the improvements to be made in said proposed special improvement district is the installation of a sanitary sewer with a concrete manhole at all. intersections of branch line sewers and where sewer changes direction of flow.and at he extreme end of each branch line, aid w1h necessary appurtenances. SECTION 3. That the approximate cost of said improvement is 43 TO-00. SECTION N That the entire cost and expense of such im- provements shall be assessed Tainst each lot within such dis- trict to be assessed for that part of the whole cost which its area bears to the area of the entire district. SECTION 5. That said assessment shall be Ad for in three equal annual installments hereby extended over a period of three years. Said assessment shall constitute<e.fund to be known as Special Improvement District Fund No. 278. SECTION 6. That said improvements shall be paid for in Spec- ial Improvement District warrants issued against said district in the sum of �'_100.00 each, bearing interest at either 1+% or 6% per annum from the date of registration until called for re- demption or paid in full. CTION 7. That on the lst. day of March, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Kalispell, at 7:30 o'clock P. M., a regular meeting, the City Council will hear and pass upon all protests that may be made against the making of such improvements or the creation of such district. SECTION 8. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give the proper notice of the passage of this resolution by publication and mailing as required by law, such publication to be mane in the Kalispell News, a weekly newspaper published in the City of Kalispell, Montana.
