Terry Eaton did a fire safety presentation at Meridian Point. All of our fire hose is currently being tested, and the engines will also be tested and cleaned during July and August. On June seventeenth we had a fire in a storage complex at Valley View Apartments on Liberty Street. Firefighters did a good job in stopping the fire in light of the fact that access to the building was very difficult. The fire was located in a playground directly behind the Valley View Apartment Complex with no direct access to it. Fire loss on the building was approximately $7,000.00.
