BACKGROUND/CONSIDERATION: I have enclosed all of the applications
for Mr. Granmo's seat that we have received through July 3Id. You
may make an appointment at this meeting if you desire or any time
through July 31". It is inappropriate for me to make a
recommendation on this agenda item. The appointment can be done by
majority vote of the Council and by passage of a MOTION.

Dear Debbie:
Please accept this letter as my application for the position of council person for ward #3, replacing
Lauren Granmo. I am a Flathead Valley native. I was born in Kalispell in 1949, attended Kalispell
schools and raised my family here. I have held various positions including merchandise buyer for
Kmart, and bookkeeping supervisor for First Interstate Bank. I now own my own bookkeeping and
administrative assistance business, Account Services, located in Kalispell.
My husband and l have Wed in the same house on Kalispell's Second Avenue West since 1975
=` and have a vested interest in our city and its future. I believe that wise decisions by our City
Council will allow our community to prosper and grow with grace, benefiting all that live and work
here. I am very Interested in growth, Job opportunities, taxation, and quality of life for all the
citizens of Kalispell.
I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to grow up and to raise my children in a community
such as Kalispell, and I feel that I have reached a point at which I can attempt to give back
something for all that I have received. I believe that my experience and skills would enable me to
serve the city well as a council member.
