Dave Holst's detailed bid analysis is attached for your information. I recommend the 1997 contract for overlay and chipseal be awarded to A-1 Paving based on their low bid total of $194,863.00. The bid was in order and contained the required bonding. This contract is intended primarily for residents and businesses wishing to take advantage of the annual sidewalk and curbing program. The major components of the bid are as follows: BID ITEM UNIT 1997 BID 4" Sidewalk SF $3.30 6" Sidewalk SF $3.50 Curb and Gutter LF $8.00 1996 PRICE $3.00 $3.20 'm Straight Curb LF $8.50 $8.50 The small increase in the price of sidewalks can be attributed to more stringent pedestrian and tree root protection requirements. The landscaping budget (before adding Addendum A - landcaping in front of individual units) was established at $133,225 for both sites; and the total of the bids comes to $101,60 including the addition of Addendum A. Clarence Krepps and Susan Moyer From: Bruce Lutz, Sitescape Associates Date: June 6, 1997 RE: Teton Terrace and Woodland Court Landscape Projects Based on the results of the bidding of the Teton Terrace and Woodland Court Landscape Projects yesterday, I would recommend that the City of Kalispell accept the proposals from New Landscape and Ever -Green Landscape respectively. There were three bids for each project, The estimates for the landscape construction were $77,659.30 for Teton Terrace and $24,735.60 fur Woodland Court. New Leaf s bid for Teton Terrace was $64,605.00 and Ever -Green's bid for Woodland Court was $25,850.00. 1 would also recommend that you accept New Leaf s Add Alternate of . $11,152.00 to do the interior courts at Teton Terrace.
