3. Change Order for Engineering Contract/Meridian RoadAgenda -May 27, 1997 AGENDA ITEM 3 - CHANGE ORDER FOR ENGINEERING CONTRACT ON MERIDIAN ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT BACKGROUND/CONSIDERATION: A request for a change order to the engineering agreement with Peccia and Associates is enclosed. The additional cost of $31,300 is due to an expansion in the scope of work. Additional time required for actual locations of existing underground utilities, revising drawings and base data, and adjusting construction documents to allow construction to be phased in (to accommodate financing) all have contributed to the increase in cost. RECOMMENDATION: The Public Works Staff has reviewed the request and `.. find it to be justified and acceptable. Upon your approval, we will forward the change order to the Montana Department of Transportation to add to the contract for engineering services. ACTION REQUIRED: A RESOLUTION to approve the change order is required. Current Status of Meridian ;+V 1. Clarence Krepps, Jim Hansz, John Wilson Meeting with Peccia Reps.
