Subject: Request authority to bid; 1997 Street Chipseal and Overlay ect.
The Public Works Department requests authority to bid a 1997 street maintenance
project comprised of 25 blocks of overlay and 71 block of chipseal. This project is
proposed to be funded in approximately equal amounts from TIF funds and general
street/gas tax funds.
The proposed work for 1997 is smaller in scope than originally anticipated. This is
due in large part to the high cost of winter snow removal that required the support
of contracted labor and equipment.
Attached are tabulations and drawings which locate the streets included in this
project.
