RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CREATE SPECIAL IMPROVEIVIENT DISTRICT No.268
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA:
Section 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Kalispell to create a special improvement district hereby designat-
ed as Special Imp:rbvement District lTo. 268, and said Improvement
District shall be ;for Block 51 High School Addition, the combined
Blocks 172 and 8 Western Addition 181 and 9 Western Addition, 182
and 10 Western Addition and for Blocks 21 3, 6 and 7, 71estern
Addition. Commencing at a point which is the centerline of 8th
Street '0,lest a concrete manhole and extendi.Dg north on the centerline
of said alley a distance of approximately 2895 feet to a point which
is the South property line of Railroad Street GIesta
Section. 2. That the general character of the improvements to be
made in said proposed special improvement district is the installa-
tion of a sanitary sewer with necessary appurtenances.
section 3. That the approximate cost of said improvements is
nn approximate cost of $85.00 per lot.
Section 4. I'hat the entire cost and expense of such improvements
shall be assessed against each lot within the district to be
assessed for that part of the whole cost which its area bears to
the area of the entire district.
Section 5. That said assessment shall be paid for in full upon
completion of the contract or shall be paid in -three eq,,ual annual
installments hereby extended over a period of three years. Said
assessments shall constitute a fund to be known as Special
Improvement District Fund No. 06f),
Section 6. That said improvements shall. be paid for in Special
Improvement District Warrants issued against said district in
sums not to exceed $100.00 each bearing interest at 41" per annum
from date of registration until called for redemption or paid
in. full.
Section 7. That on the 23'rd day of September 1946 Pt the Council
Chambers of the City Hall of the City c-,)f Kalispell, Montana, at
7:30 o'clock p1ra., a spec"i.al meeting of the City Qmzril will hear
and pass upon all protests that may be made against the making of
such improvements or the creation, of such districts.
Se ction 8. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
give the proper notice of the passage of the resolution by publi-
cation and m,)iling as required by law. Such publication to be,
made in the Kalispell, Times, a weekly newspaper, published in the
City of Kalispell, Montana.
