AGENDA ITEM 5 - HAVEN FIELD OFFERS
BACKGROUND/CONSIDERATION: We are still in discussion with the
bidders to clarify several questions. We will have further
analysis of the bids available to review at the Work Session.
RECOMMENDATION: Since we are still in analysis/negotiation with
the bidders, I will not submit a recommendation until the Council
Meeting.
ACTION REQUIRED: We hope to have questions clarified for this
project at the regular Council Meeting. When we are ready to take
action, a MOTION to proceed with the selling process of Haven Field
to the party we desire will be needed. That motion to define that
the sale is based upon an acceptable development agreement being
complete which will include a firm development schedule and a
minimum value/tax agreement. This will further "lock down" our
revenue stream for bonding purposes (for funding ballfield
improvements). After compiling an acceptable development
agreement, we will need to authorize the final documents for the
sale by resolution.
