08. Greenacres Questions for StaffAgenda -January 13, 1997
AGENDA ITEM 8 - GREENACRES QUESTIONS FOR STAFF
BACKGROUND/CONSIDERATION: At the Council Meeting, when we last
discussed the Greenacres Annexation and the problem with the legal
notice, the instruction to the Staff was: The Staff was to answer
in depth those "unanswered" questions that the Council was to
submit to me for the January 13 Work Session. Iā¢have not yet
received any question from you.
I have reviewed the minutes of that meeting and found the following
questions raised at that time:
1. Memorandum of Understanding with the Homeowner's
Association should be done prior to any action.
2. Should the City take the water system; what happens
to the wells, who pumps the wells, who pays for
this?
3. The residents need to know what is their part and
what is our part, and this should be worked out
before the process begins.
4. How much is it going to cost the Homeowners?
5. We're going to install 10 fire hydrants but a new
subdivision would require a hydrant every 300 feet
- we should provide the same protection.
6. Are we going to go ahead and charge for this fire
protection service but we can't install hydrants?
How would you put hydrants on Willow Glen Drive
every 300 feet until you put the water system in?
Agenda -January 13, 1997
7. What happens to the people who have horses if
annexed?
If you have any questions, please submit them as soon as
possible so we can begin addressing them.
