Clarence,
I am meeting with Carter Burgess on Wednesday, the 6th of
November, to finalize construction plans and bid documents
for the Lawrence Park mitigation pond. At this time I
would request authorization to bid this construction
project. The pond is approximately 1.9 acres of wetland.
The budget is $54,000, inclusive of design and bid
document preparation. The city will administer the bidding
and construction of the project.
I will have a recommendation on the bid submittals
prepared for the December 16th regular council meeting.
The project is one that could possibly start with
excavation yet this winter, with wetland enhancement and
planting continuing on into the spring.
I will have a set of plans and specifications at the
council workshop if any questions or concerns arise. If
further information is needed please feel free to inquire
with me. Thank you for your consideration on this matter.
