RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO EXTEND THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF KALISPELL AND DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA:
SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the
City alispell Montana, to extend the corporate limits and
to amend Section 332 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of
Kalispell. of 1928.
SECTION 2. That the proposed additional area to be included
within the corporate limits of the City of Kalispell, Montana,
shall be more particularly described as follows; All of that
portion of the NEI/SWj of Section 7 township 28 Range 21 lying
north of Washington Street of the City of Kalispell, Montana;
all of that portion of NWJ/SEJ of 7-28-21 lying north of Wash -
in ton Street and west of Second Avenue West North; all of the
SE/NWJ of 7-28-21; all of that portion of the NE4/NWT of 7-28-
al lying south of U. S. Highway No. 93; and all of that portion
of the SWJ/NEJ lying south of Highway No. 93 and north of
Wyoming Street; all of that portion of the SW-k/NEj lying south
of Wyoming Street and west of Second Avenue West North.
SECTION 1. All of that portion of the SWJ/NE4 lying north
of Wyoming Street west of Main Street and north and east of
Highway 93.
SECTION 4 All of that portion of the SWJ/NEj lying east of
Street extended and north of Wyoming Street; all of that
portion of the NWJ/NEJ- of 7-28-21 lying east of the extension
of '"ain Street north and lying west of the ridge or crest of
the place known as the Stillwater .River Slough varying in
width from 50 ft., more or less, at the north to 500 ft, more
or less, at the south; all of that portion of the NEJ/NE
of 7-28-21 lying west of the above described slough; all of
that portion of the SEJ/NE of 7-28-21 lying west of the
above described slough and north, of Wyoming Street.
SECTION 5. That the extension of the boundaries as described
above will be to the best interests of the City of Kalispell
and the inhabitants thereof and of the inhabitants of the
contiguous tracts or parcels as described and further that
it will not materially mar the symmetry and order Df the
City of Kalispell.
SECTION 6. That on the 6th day of May, 1946, at the Council
Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Kalispell, Montana,
at 7s30 o'clock p. m., a regular meeting, the City Council
will pass upon all protests that may be mrde against the
extension of these boundaries, the closing time for the filing
of these protests is hereby declared to be May 11 1946, at 5;00
o'clock P. M.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to give the proper notice of the passage of this resolution by
publication and mailing as required by law, such publication
to be made in the Kalispell Times, a weekly newspaper publi-
shed in the City of Kalispell, Montana.
