7. Ordinance 1250 - Parking Restrictions - East Meridian & Windward WayAGENDA ITEM 7 - ORDINANCE 1250-Parking Restriction -East Meridian
and Windward Way -1st Reading
BACKGROUND/CONSIDERATION: With the apparent improvements for the
tennis facility and potential, increase in traffic and parking
requirements within the Summit area, we all believe that more
restrictive parking requirements are needed for these streets.
Within our workshops and Council meetings, this restriction was
discussed several times. The City Attorney has compiled the
ordinance to prohibit parking on both sides of East Meridian Road
between Highway 93 and Windward Way between Sunnyview Lane and
Heritage Way.
RECOMMENDATION: Based upon our prior discussions and the Council's
desire to control this area, I highly recommend the approval of the
parking restriction.
ACTION REQUIRED: Approval of the ORDINANCE is required to make the
controls official.
