This memo is to request City Council authorization to advertise for bids on the South
Ward I
Woodland, Liberty Street/Three Mile Drive and Two Mile Drive water projects.

The South Woodland project is currently being reviewed by the State and approval is

expected within the next week. Thomas, Dean and Hoskins is preparing the bid

package and we will advertise for bids as soon as possible.

Ward III
The Liberty Street/Three Mile Drive and Two Mile Drive water projects are in the Lauren Granmo
late stages of design with Carver Engineering. As we consider the potential for traffic Ward III
disruption and the need to coordinate between separate construction zones, we have Pamela B. Kennedy
decided to let all of this work under a single contract. These plans will be submitted Ward IV
for State review within the next few weeks. We will have their approval anywhere

from two to four weeks later and will advertise for bids at that time. We request Ward IV
authorization to bid now so that we may be ready to proceed.
