Re: Proposal to Delay Implementation of Water Connection Fee Increase
On June 17 the City Council adopted a new water connection fee schedule which went
into effect on July 1. Although we issued legal notices and news releases about the fee
increase prior to July 1, a many potential customers have complained that the public
notification was not effective and they have been denied the opportunity to obtain
connection privileges at the lower price.
In the interest of good will, the Public Works staff proposes that the Council adopt a
resolution declaring the new connection fees to become effective on September 1,1996.
