05. Agency on Aging - Interlocal Agreement!NTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
This agreement is made and entered into 6y and batween
Flathead County, Montana, and the City of Kalispell, Montana.
1. This agreement is authorized puravant to the terms of
Section 7-11-104, M.C.A., and is entered into for the purpose of
providing municipal bus service to the residents of the City of
Kalispell.
2. The City of I€alispe-.a. is authorized to provide municipal
bus service by Section 7-14-4403, M.C.A.
3. The County, through the Agency an Aging, is currently
providing limited bus service within the City of Kalispell.
4. The services to be provided hereunder shall be financed by
an annual payment by the City of Kalispell in the amount of
$ and by Flathead County, through its Agency on Aging.
The Agency on Aging will provide bases, drivers, and all other
necessary equipment and employees to provide the municipal bus
services contemplated hereunder. All property with which the
services will be provided shall be the property of Flathead County
and shall remain the property of Flathead County in the event of
termination of this agreement.
5. The municipal. bus services to be provided ^ereunder shall
be administered by the Agency on .aging. That agency shall
establish bus routes, bus schedules, rates to be charged
passengers, and all other such matters -involving provision of
municipal bus services hereunder. The Agency on Aging shall
consult with both the Board of Commissioners of Flathead County,
Montana, and the City Council of the City of Kalispell, Montana,
from titre to time to discuss bus schedules, bus routes, rates
charged, and othe:'matters pertaining to the provision of municipal
bus services to the residents of the City of Kalispell, Montana.
- 6. This agreemenz shall become effective upon being filed
with the Secretary of State, pursuant :o the terms of Section 7-11-
107, M.G.A., and municipal bus services may commence within thirty
days thereafter. This agreement shall remain effective for a
period of one year, and shall be automatically renewed at the and
of each one-year period unless either party hereto gives written
notice to the other party at least thirty days prior to the annual
renewal date of its intention to discontinue its participation in
this agreement. 'n the event such. written novice is given, this
agreement shall terminate on the next annual renewal date,
