Attached is a June 7, 1996, Thomas, Dean & Hoskins Inc. recommendation on the
Teton Terrace Bids. I am requesting that you review it because of the
acknowledged "minor irregularity" referred to in the second paragraph. Please
review this recommendation and advise if you feel it appropriate to follow the
4
recommendation and request Council approval of the Sandon bid at Monday night's
Council Meeting.
Thanks.

RE: Teton Terrace Bids
Dear Susan:
Enclosed please find the Long and Short Form Bid Tabulations for
the referenced project. We have reviewed each bid for accuracy and
compliance with the Contract Documents. The apparent low bidder is
Sandon Construction.
As discussed in our phone conversation, Sandon's bid was found to
have a minor irregularity. Items 8, 9 and 10 of Schedule II do not
meet the 7% minimum of Item 3, as required. Greg Sandon has
- submitted a letter stating he will perform these items for the
amount listed in the bid proposal. A copy of the letter is
enclosed.
We recommend the irregularity be waived as allowed under Paragraph
16 - Acceptance or Rejection of Bids in the Information for Bidders
Section of the Contract Documents, and the contract be awarded to
Sandon Construction.
Please contact us if you have any questions.
Very truly yours,
THOMAS, DEAN & HOSKINS, INC.

Re: Janitorial Bid
Bids for janitorial services were opened at 11:30 , June 12,1996. Only one bid from Gilders
Janitorial Service was received. Bid price was $1460.00 per month. This is an increase of
$200.00 per month over last years bid. I would recommend acceptance of Gilders bid for
$1460.00 per month.
