Rain, budget and bids were the agenda for May with the Parks Department.

reported, but games had to be rescheduled.

4 Recreation Depart. - C. Bohannan, Recreation Coordinator:
May has definitely proved to be a wet month for Spring. We learned to
landscape our yards and plant a garden whenever the rain dwindles to a
drizzle. Seniors have been on the go constantly, rain or shine, listening to
songbirds, elk bugle, and making oil from mint plants. This weather didn't
even stop them from getting out for their first hike. Recreation continues on
wet or dry. The Recreation Office is gearing up for our Summer schedule of
activities, which includes: registration scheduling, supply purchasing,
advertising, contracting services, and interviewing seasonal employees.
Routine Monthly Duties:
Vouchers, Marketing, Administrative work, answering phones, assisting
participants, taking registrations (Continued to next page). Activity
Calendar for May is attached.
