Enclosed is an idea of wording of the Proclamation for Henry J. Elwood. Upon your suggestion,
I contacted Cliff Collins and he agreed to read this on Friday, April, 12, 1996. In fact, he will
relate to the audience his recollections about Henry Elwood and his association with the family. I
hope you will visit the FVCC Honors Symposium after your class at the Summit! Thanks for all of
your advice and suggestions in this matter.
PROCLAMATION:

WHEREAS HENRY J. ELWOOD WAS A GIFTED AND RETIRED FLATHEAD HIGH
SCHOOL TEACHER AND OUTSTANDING LOCAL HISTORIAN..
WHEREAS HENRY J. ELWOOD WROTE SIGNIFICANT BOOKS DOCUMENTING THE
HISTORY OF HIS BELOVED FLATHEAD VALLEY,
WHEREAS WE NOTE THESE WORTHY ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF HENRY J. ELWOOD
