Dear Mayor Rauthe;
Reference is made to the proposal that the Carl S. Becker Inc. made to the City of
Kalispell dated February 16, 1996 for providing interim city management services and our
telephone conversation earlier today.
You indicated some conoem about the uncertainty regarding reimbursement for
housing cost. This letter serves as an amendment to the aforementioned February 16,
1996 proposal in that the Carl S. Recker Inc. will provide the services of Al Thelon to
serve as Kalispell's Interim City Manager for a monthly fee of $6,000 and provisions for
ground transportation while Mr. Thelen serves in this position in Kalispell. In accordance
with our phone discussion either a current staff vehicle or a rental is acceptable. The Carl
S. Becker Inc. will be responsible for Mr. Thelon's housing costs as well as payroll and
fringe benefits. Mr. Thelon can arrive in Kalispell on March 5, 1996
