AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE NAME OF "C" STREET AND GREENVALE DRIVE
TO ROGERS DRIVE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That "C" Street and Greenvale Drive, described
as two roadways located in the Southeast
Quarter of Section 17, Township 28 North,
Range 21 West, P.M.M., Flathead County,
Montana, are renamed Rogers Drive.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)
days from and after its passage by the City
Council and approval by the Mayor.

KALISPELL THIS DAY OF , 1996.

SUBJECT: Street Name Change
Mr. Roger Gussner of 1508 Greendale Drive has petitioned the city to change the
name of the street adjacent to his residence.
The following reasons for the name change were provided:
1. He is the only resident on the street and it is fully developed.
2. His mail is frequently misdirected to Greendale Court then returned.
3. Servicemen often have difficulty locating his residence.
Also, streets having similar names in any jurisdiction cause problems for emergency
services as valuable time can be lost in a crisis situation.
Mr. Gussner has suggested the name be changed to Rogers Drive. The name is
consistent with the recently developed street naming guidelines of the Site Review
Committee.
recommend Greendale Drive be renamed to ROGERS DR_T VE.

Dear Mr. Williams and Council Members:
I any writing to request a change of name for my street.
As you can see from the enclosed maps I am the only house on this street and it
is fully developed.
My main concern is my mail is being readdressed to Greendale Court, I change
it to Greendale Drive and then it changes back to Greendale Court. I have
enclosed some mail as examples.
I also have problems getting a serviceman from the cable or phone company to my
house because of my ever changing address.
I am sure some confusion exists because of the city plat showing the street as
Greenvale Drive.
To put an end to this mess, I am requesting a change to either Rogers Drive or
Peutus Place.
You help in this matter will be deeply appreciated.
