Building inspector and because no one was appointed to fill this Vacancy due to the
slacl.:conditions of the building industry, it inflicted additional duties upon the
office of the City Clerl: causing an excess expenditure in the amount of ""31.41
and,
VMERZAS�, an unusual amount of trials called for juries and witnesses the budget
of the Police Court was exceeded in the amount of �30.12 and,
VMMM,S., due to the transfer of funds in the amount of !,,,5?22,350.00 from the later
Works department to the General Fund the budget for this department was exceeded
in the amount of $12,677.06 and,
VHFREn,S, emergency expenditures for repairs to the heating; system and additional
heat, li�its and pm er caused by the housing of Federal agencies, the budget
for the City Hall ivas exceeded in the amount of��228.51 and,
the national emergency called for additional expenditures in icqprove-
ments to the airport this budget was exceeded in the amount of $2809.01 and,
IMMEAS, sanitary conditions required additional publicity of such Conditions
be given the public and appeals for co-operation with the Hehlth Board were called
for through the newspapers, the current budget was exceeded by q'29.76, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Kalispell that by reason of the facts
as herainabove stated an emergency is hereby declared to exist, under the provisions
of Section 5083.6 of the revised Codes of Montana, 1935, and an expenditure of
0319.80 in the excess of the current budget for the General Fund, 012,677,06
for the Water Works fund, '�2809.01 for the ":aviation Fund, p'15,805.87 is hereby
authorized for the purpose herein set forth and emergency warrants be drawn against
the several funds and the City Treasurer is authorized and directed to pay such
warrants with any ,uoney in the several funds aientiqned that is available and if
tlfler,a is not sufficient money in such funds to pay said war -rants, than the same
,shall be registered and beekr interest and be called for iaynent in the manner ")ro-
vided by law for other City Warrants.
