Resolution 1531 - Emergency - Budget TransferRESOLUTION No. 1531 A RESOLUTION DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND AITTHORIZING EXPENDITURES IN EXCESS OF THE BUDGET TO MEET MANDATORY EXPENSES REQTTMD BY LAW FOR THE CITY OF KALISPELL. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COLiNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELI, MONTANA: WHEREAS, the current budget of the City of Kalispell failed to provide sufficient funds to pay all of the expenses incident and necessary in the conduct of the office of the City Treasurer in that the expense necessary for the payment of the premium on the bond of the City Treasurer was overlooked in making up the annual budget in the year 1935, by reason of the fact that such payment is made only once in every two years; and WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of the annual budget in the year 1935 the City Council amended the ordinance fixing the salary of the Mayor and increasing the same from 050.00per month to $100.00 per month; and whereas the City of Kalispell is under an agreement *ith the Works Progress Administration of the United States to furnish material and supplies in carrying out the Wood- land Park Project and that the sum of $9000.00 is necessary for such purposes in addition to the amounts heretofore authorized for such purpose; and WHEREAS, there are no funds available to pay the foregoing obligations of the City of Kalispell and as such obligations ex- ceed the amount provided by the last annual budget and such ex- penditures are necessary and unavoidable and it is mandatory that the same be paid; BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that an emergency is heresy ae- Blared to exist under the provisions of the second paragraph of Section Eight, Chapter 121 of the Laws of the Twenty-second Legislative Assembly of the State of Montana, and that the cur- rent budget in the following offices be exceeded in the following amounts respectively: Expenses in the City Treasurer's office $100.00; expenses in the Mayor's office 100.00; expense of the Park Fund $,�000.00. That emergency warrants be drawn against the funds above named and properly chargeable with such expenditures and that the City Treasurer is authorized and directed to pay such warrants with any money in any funds available for that purpose, and if there is not sufficient money available to pay such warrants, then the same shall be registered, bear interest and be called for payment in the manner provided for by law for other city warrants. THIS BEING an emergency resolution as set' forth herein the same shall take effect and be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and approval. (Signed) J. P. BRUCKHAUSER Attest: F. J.
