A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE PERSONNEL POLICIES HANDBOOK FOR CITY OF
KALISPELL EMPLOYEES BY ADOPTING A DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of May, 1994, the City Council of the City
of Kalispell adopted a Personnel Policies Handbook for
all employees of the City, and
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Transportation has
promulgated regulations requiring that certain employees
whose positions require possession of a commercial
drivers license be randomly tested for alcohol and drugs,
and
WHEREAS, the adoption of a policy commensurate with the
requirements of the Department of Transportation
regulations will be in the best interest of the citizens
of Kalispell and the employees of the City of Kalispell.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That there is hereby adopted a Drug and
Alcohol Testing Policy, Section 40-16,
Personnel Policies Handbook; said Section
- being attached hereto and thereby made a part
ti hereof.
SECTION II. The Personnel Specialist is authorized and
directed to distribute copies of said policy
to all employees and to commence procedures to
implement said policy regarding covered
employees.
SECTION III. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon passage by the City Council.

of December, 1995.
