With the onset of inclement weather building activity tapered off. Permits were issued for
16 single family homes. Of the 16 permits, four were foundation permits and two were
townhouse permits.
Two significant commercial permits were issued. One was for a recycling building for
Pacific Iron. The other was for the long awaited addition to Wachholz Realty office.
Zoning:
Much of the zoning administrator's free time in October was spent gathering information
and cost estimates relative to the implementation of the recently adopted Kalispell City
Airport Neighborhood Plan. The results will be presented to the Council at an upcoming
work session. The zoning administrator also met with the Airport Advisory Board to
discuss zoning and other land -use issues.
Just 4 sign permits were issued in October for a total of 5 signs. The office was successful
in having the "Cabinets for Less" sign removed from the parked truck on Sunset
i
Boulevard. Illegal banners, which are proliferating again, will be the next enforcement
focal point.
There was no Board of Adjustment meeting this month. Two applications have been
received for the November 7th meeting.
