Please consider my name as an applicant to fill a position on the City of
Kalispell Airport Advisory Board.
After retiring from the Air Force, I returned to the Flathead in 1986 to
resume "full-time" residency at the above listed address.
Although a military career took me away from local boundaries, I have
always maintained "roots" to Kalispell, the Flathead and Montana. I received all
my primary education in the Kalispell school system, graduating from Flathead
High School in 1954, and then earning my BA degree and commission from the
University of Montana in 1958. 1 was also fortunate to serve an Air Force tour of
duty at the Lakeside radar station in 1960-61.
My 22-year military career spanned all facets of air/ground operations
which are just as applicable to the civilian sector. This experience included:
radar communications and ground -to -air control; as an aircrew member himself;
as director of planning, training and life support equipment, as Commander of
four tactical air support bases in Korea; and as a civil engineering Contract
Planner responsible for the identification and maintenance of current and future
needs in support air base operations to include, runways, fire support, hangars,
etc. — one such project being the needed construction of hangars for the new
USAF TR-2 reconnaissance plane at Beale Air Force Base, California.
I have a fine belief and commitment to return to the community that
endowment which was so richly afforded to myself. If you have any questions or
wish to speak with me personally, please feel free to call.
Sincerely,
Keith A. Robinson
