On March 21, 1995, bids were opened for the two projects. Four companies submitted bids per
the instructions of the bid packets. Bid bonds were included by all companies bidding.

Total cost for the two projects: $329,327
These two projects have received the endorsement and recommendation to proceed from the
Kalispell Chamber, the Kalispell Parking Commission and the Kalispell Development Corporation.
The `95 budget has allocated $265,000 for the two projects with an additional $105,000 in the
Unallocated line item. Additional costs that were not identified at the time of budget adoption but
became necessary during design development include revisions to storm drainage patterns on lst
Streets, an additional 120 feet of water main on 2nd Ave East, and replacement of heaving
sidewalks by Linderman.
Recommgndation:
Please ask the City Council for authorization to enter into contracts with Sandon Construction for
