Lutz) to complete the design for the completion of the Flathead High School Parking Lot. Attached is a February 24, 1995, Memorandum from Ross Plambeck, with his recommendation. I concur and hereby request that you proceed with obtaining City Council approval to enter into a design services contract with Sitescape Associates. Mr. Lutz is most familiar with the project. It just makes sense to stay with this firm as long as their cost of services is considered reasonable. The total is $9,500 and includes: • Detailed survey with elevation control points (information useful to our GIS) • Demolition Plan • Final coordination plans for completing all the parking lots catch-up details • Preparation of construction documents and specifications for bidding • Construction observation Entering into a contract with Bruce Lutz for this final phase of the parking lot will be consistent with the previous work in terms of layout, function, and construction specifications. His design fees are very reasonable for the estimated construction costs (less than 60/6), and he is very familiar with the city's specifications and procedures. He also delivers a quality design that is functional, and serves the city's interests well as a strong advocate for quality construction from the contractors.
